The beaches of Capri

Marina Grande has a large pebble beach located next to the harbor (all beaches on Capri are pebble or have rocky terraces and steps).

From the seaside village of Capri it is also possible to reach the beach of Bagni di Tiberio, the place chosen by Emperor Tiberius to build his seaside villa that can also be reached by a classic gozzo.

Along its shores in Anacapri is another very famous lido, the Punta Carena Lighthouse, which can be easily reached by buses just past Piazza Vittoria or on foot, crossing the historic center and walking along di Via Nuova del Faro. The terraces of the Punta Carena Lighthouse are located on the southwest side of the island, and it enjoys sunlight until sunset-that is why it is a favorite beach for sunbathers.

Instead, those who wish to split their time between a cobalt-blue sea dive and a visit to the Blue Grotto can spend their day among the coves of Gradola, which is particularly private and not far from Capri's most famous grotto.
