La Migliera

The Migliera is one of the most scenic areas on the island of Capri and can be reached by following the ancient road that connected the center of Anacapri with the belvedere.

Start from Piazza Vittoria to reach Via Caposcuro, a small alley that runs alongside the chairlift station for Monte Solaro, and continue along Via Migliera for about 30 minutes. The road winds comfortably through vineyards and fields cultivated by locals, and allows you to admire an aspect of the island little known to mass tourism.

The view at the end of the road is breathtaking and embraces the entire Punta Carena Lighthouse: this is the Thunder Belvedere.

A path hidden by the vegetation leads to a second vantage point dominated by an iron cross that allows the Faraglioni of Capri to be seen.

The sea seems like an endless expanse, and along the ridge of Monte Solaro there is a fascinating interplay of cliffs, rocks and sporadic vegetation.

Those who feel they have walked enough can turn back and stop at the Migliera viewpoints or relax for a few minutes in the Philosophical Park.
